Taro entered the ball room. Everyone was swinging to the enchanting music and so no one noticed him there. He grabbed a drink from a waiter passing by and his eyes met with Ken, who smiled. His brother kept on dancing with his partner although Taro could notice he was waiting to get out of her arms. Her dress was too loud, too bouncy. She was grabbing him with such strength that Ken was almost carrying her around instead of dancing. He barely faced her as he was scanning everyone in that ballroom, gathering information no one else could with just his eyes.  The song was over. Ken bowed in respect and left her side. Underneath: Short Story #2

     O início de abril foi marcado pelas suas chuvas terríveis. Após duas semanas de mau tempo, veio um sol forte, quente e duradouro.      Noah já tinha os seus sete anos e começava a mostrar uma estrutura alta e magra. O corpo cheio de sardas, apesar de magro, era forte e não se rendia às feridas que arranjava por trepar na árvore grande do jardim ou por correr demasiado rápido e tropeçar. Ele sabia que a mãe podia usar os seus poderes nele pare lhe aliviar a dor e era sempre uma desculpa para ter a irmã, Violet, por perto.      Sem precisar de lhe dizerem directamente, Noah sabia que não fazia parte da família como Ian ou as irmãs gémeas faziam. Mas a quem chamava de mãe, era a sua mãe, e quem chamava de pai, era o seu pai.
